While high-rise buildings are known for their luxurious amenities and breathtaking views, residents at one brand new Ottawa condominium are getting an extra perk – synthetic grass rooftop terraces. The Claridge Plaza high-rise is the site of the installation, a project that is the first of its kind in Ottawa. It involved lifting the synthetic grass to the building’s 20th floor with a crane and installing unique landscape designs on the terraces of select residences.

The synthetic grass terraces were installed by SYNLawn Canada this month. The high-rise, located in downtown Ottawa at 200 Laurier, features the state-of-the-art terraces that have been constructed to make the balcony areas look like lush green gardens. The SYNLawn artificial grass was chosen because it is LEED certified, involves little to no maintenance and because of its enhanced color and texture. It is the ultimate status symbol in fine living.
