Back in March 2005 in the article titled “SYNLawn Survives Three Hurricanes,” we told you about a SYNLawn synthetic grass installation at the Park Maitland School in Maitland, Florida. Park Maitland School installed SYNLawn in two separate areas of their campus in 2004. When we wrote the article in March 2005, the artificial turf had been installed for a year and just came out of Florida’s notorious hurricane season. Hurricanes Charley, Francis and Jeanne made their mark on a lot of Central Florida, but not a mark on the SYNLawn grass application. With another year gone by, and a few more hurricanes, we called the Park Maitland School to see how the turf was holding up this year.

“If you’re asking me if I’d do it again, the answer is yes,” was the response from the Park Maitland School when asked about the state of the playground's artificial grass. Then they went on: “It’s still the ideal choice. Overall, it’s great for the kids and they love having the surface. It’s so much prettier than the mulch we had before.” What they liked the most was that the SYNLawn installation “looks nice all the time.” After years of being stomped on by all of those little feet, after two of Central Florida’s most severe weather periods - SYNLawn is still looking great.
