Artificial Grass in Guanajuato Revitalizes Lomas del Sol Park
Aldama, Guanajuato, México – As part of a municipal initiative to revitalize unused and unsafe areas of Aldama, SYNLawn Bajío partnered with the local government through its Participatory Budget program to create a new community green space at Lomas del Sol Park. Featuring sustainable artificial grass in Guanajuato, the project shows how municipalities and local companies can work together to bring positive change to their communities.

From Neglected Lot to Welcoming Community Park
Before this project, Lomas del Sol Park was neglected, underused, and unsafe because of criminal activity. SYNLawn Bajío worked closely with Enviro Constructora, the local government, and community members to turn the park into a welcoming green space where residents can gather for recreation and social activities.
Sustainable Artificial Grass Built for Heavy Foot Traffic
SYNLawn Bajío installed 3,900 square feet (about 362 square meters) of SYNAugustine X47, a sustainable artificial grass that offers outstanding safety, softness, and durability. Its multi-colored blades and dense thatch create a lush, natural appearance. Because it needs no watering to stay green, it’s also a smart choice in a region where water is a precious resource.
SYNAugustine X47 is USDA Certified Biobased and made with SYNLawn’s exclusive plant-based EnviroLoc+™ Backing System, which is created from renewable resources like soybean oil. Choosing sustainable landscaping materials like this is a great example of how thoughtful planning can revive public spaces.
The turf is also engineered with SYNLawn Biomimetic™ Technology and Super Yarn™ Technology. Its Sanitized® Antimicrobial Technology, StatBlock™ anti-static protection, and DualChill™ IR-reflective properties help ensure long-lasting performance in areas with heavy foot traffic.
