Portland, OR — The Rose City Classic is the biggest annual dog show in the Pacific Northwest. This premier event brings the top canines from across the country to compete over five days for the supreme title of Best in Show. In advance of the next competition, the event organizers wanted to upgrade the agility arena with a softer and safer surfacing product to improve the experience for the show dogs. SYNLawn Oregon revamped the space with the installation of premium artificial turf.
Enhancing the Show Experience with Dog-Friendly Surfacing
SYNLawn Oregon was selected for this exciting project with a recommendation from the owner of K-9 Sports, LLC. She was very impressed with the softness of SYNLawn’s dog-friendly products.
The team from SYNLawn Oregon installed 10,000 square feet of SYNPlay 48 with Pad to transform the agility space with the beautiful and comfortable new turf. This surfacing product is designed for high-traffic durability to withstand agility and provides an 8mm pad with energy-absorbing cushion for added safety.
Unlike their old turf that left dogs with sore pads, SYNPlay 48 has kept their paws comfortable and provided better traction. The low-friction surface minimizes abrasions and reduces the risk of turf burns. An additional benefit is that this surfacing is low maintenance with easy clean up.
The installation has received glowing reviews from exhibitors and the Rose City Classic show organizers plan to purchase another 10,000 square feet of SYNPlay 48 for a second arena. SYNLawn Oregon was presented with a “Best Agility Project” award at the annual SYNLawn Conference in recognition of their achievements on this unique project.
