While it’s rare to have the opportunity to build a first-of-its-kind golf green in a country, SYNLawn Bajío was chosen to design and build the first Dave Pelz ShotStopper™ System installation in Mexico.
Creating a Unique Golf Experience with Premium Synthetic Surfacing Products
To create this groundbreaking golf experience in Monterrey, SYNLawn Bajío designed and installed the innovative ShotStopper™ System that replicates natural grass conditions with remarkable precision to enable golfers to perfect every shot imaginable. Created by Dave Pelz, a world-renowned coach and short game expert, the ShotStopper™ System elevates any golfer’s game by simulating real grass conditions to provide an unparalleled practice and play experience. They paired this revolutionary system with 2,920 square feet of Classic Pitch, a premium synthetic surfacing product ideal for practicing pitch and chip shots due to its superior ball roll performance and lasting endurance. Classic Pitch was created based on years of research and development with some of golf’s greatest golf coaches.
To further enhance this innovative golf installation, the SYNLawn Bajío team incorporated the following additional golf products:
- 3,724 square feet of SYNAugustine 547, which has the look of real grass and is made for greater resiliency and support. It features Super Yarn™ Technology made with additives such as Sanitized™ Antimicrobial Technology, DualChill™ IR Reflective Technology and StatBlock™ Anti-Static Component. It’s also a sustainable option as well due to SYNLawn’s exclusive plant-based EnviroLoc+™ Backing System created from renewable resources like soybean oil.
- 700 square feet of SYNSport White, which is the best artificial grass variety for golf lovers expecting realism and high-performance results. It’s the top choice for safety with an ASTM E108 Class A Fire Rating. In addition to being made with Super Yarn™ technology, it also features Trionic Plus™ Technology. This super molecular fusion of Nylon and Polyethylene creates the perfect synthetic grass for extreme high-traffic applications.
SYNLawn Bajío designed the green to take shots at 180 degrees with 9 tee boxes installed on the property that spread across distances of 40 to 110 yards. This was a unique and unprecedented project for the SYNLawn Bajío team. They worked closely with the client to bring the vision for the pioneering and original golf installation to life.
