Make-A-Wish Kid Receives Dream Outdoor Play Area from SYNLawn Wisconsin

One of the ways our distributors and their teams support the communities they serve is by volunteering time and donating artificial turf products. SYNLawn Wisconsin (also known as Vande Hey Company) collaborated with Make-A-Wish Wisconsin to create a safer and more accessible backyard play area for a child and his family.
Creating an Outdoor Play Area with Artificial Turf
SYNLawn has supported the Make-A-Wish organization’s chapters all over the country for many years to enhance outdoor spaces for well-deserving recipients and their families. SYNLawn Wisconsin was contacted by their local chapter about a boy who was unable to safely access his backyard due to his illness. The SYNLawn Wisconsin team wanted to provide the child with the Outdoor Play Area of his dreams with the installation of artificial turf.
Before beginning work on the outdoor play area renovations, the team first had to remove all of the existing playground equipment to reinstall after the installation of the synthetic grass. Once that was done, the team was able to start on the installation of 1,080 square feet of SYNAugustine 347, which is the softest, most comfortable variety of artificial grass ever created. The turf has a natural appearance with a realistic feel that will stay green and pristine no matter the season in Wisconsin. It also has superior strength and a smooth surface, which is ideal for mobility aids like the one the child uses.
Another benefit of the turf is that it will provide the family with a safer and cleaner backyard than natural grass. No pesticides are needed for lawn care, a synthetic lawn doesn’t get muddy, and the turf minimizes outdoor allergies. Plus, the padded surface of the turf helps reduce the impact of falls.
After working hard in the winter elements to complete the renovation, the team was excited to reveal the new outdoor space to the family. The family will be able to enjoy their dream backyard together for years to come.
