Nashville, TN — The Novel West Apartment Complex by Courtland in Nashville, Tennessee recently got a reimagined dog park, benefiting complex residents. Home to over 400 apartments, the urban complex is pet friendly and needed a safer space for tenants to bring their dogs.

SYNLawn Tennessee, also known as Goat Turf, was selected to transform the dog park after the complex owners researched the benefits of synthetic grass for pets. Upon reading about SYNLawn Tennessee’s exemplary reputation, owners selected SYNLawn’s premium artificial pet grass product to reimagine the area. The upgrade features a safer and more sustainable surfacing solution for pets and their parents to enjoy.

Life at the Novel West Apartment Complex

The Novel West Apartment Complex contains 436 luxury, modern apartments and covers over 2,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The urban apartments are not only pet friendly, but also include a pool, social club, and a sand volleyball court.

The vision of Novel West is to focus on creating a social club and connectivity for residents while providing ample space for socialization and community among tenants. The reimagined dog park was long overdue to fit the look and feel of the existing property amenities.

Renovating an Open Concept Dog Park

Since the owners wanted a complete renovation of the space, they needed to find the right people and products to complete the installation. The existing courtyard at the complex used to have mulch that was harboring odor, had issues draining appropriately, and created an environment where a pet sustained an injury due to unsafe conditions. After the injury, the courtyard was closed until it could be improved, causing pet parents living at the complex to go elsewhere to allow their dogs to exercise and go to the bathroom.

The complex owners wanted to renovate the area into an open concept dog park, including a flat surface that would be durable for pet activity and help alleviate the existing odor and drainage issues. After finding SYNLawn Tennessee, the owners felt they found the right people to fulfill their vision. SYNLawn Tennessee was careful to rely on the necessary tools and communication to complete this project.

The installation included 5,280 square feet of SYNTipede 243 to transform the new outdoor space. The newly reimagined dog park is an open concept with adequate space for playing fetch and has small obstacles for the dogs to exercise. The residents are excited to finally have a safe and uniform surface to enjoy with their pets for years to come.
