Denver, CO — The Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center, a Marriott property near the Mile High City, offers guests luxurious outdoor spaces for breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains and a wide array of first-class amenities. SYNLawn Colorado upgraded the outdoor spaces of the alpine-luxe property by installing premium artificial grass to create two “Grand Lodge Lawns” for guests to take in the stunning scenery and a “Games Lawn,” which features a bocce court and life-size chess board.
Creating Luxurious Outdoor Spaces with Sustainable Turf
Sustainability is important to more than 80% of global travelers, according to an annual travel report from Booking.com. SYNLawn Colorado helped the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center create a more sustainable property with the installation of 22,000 square feet of SYNAugustine 547 to build the outdoor oases. This sustainable turf is ideal for resort properties with high foot traffic since it provides the look of natural grass yet offers unmatched resiliency and support. It’s made with SYNLawn’s exclusive plant-based EnviroLoc+™ Backing System, which is an environmentally friendly, multi-layer component system that locks in durable turf fibers and extends the life cycle of the turf. EnviroLoc+ replaces up to 60% of the petroleum-based polyol with renewable soybeans. SYNAugustine 547 is also made with Super Yarn™ technology that provides heat reflective, anti-static, Sanitized® and non-abrasive grass blades.
Both luxurious outdoor spaces of the Grand Lodge lawns were created using 9,300 square feet (a total of 18,600 square feet) of the SYNAugustine 547. These spaces were created for guests to relax, socialize, and enjoy the spectacular mountain views from the comfort of the available Adirondack chairs. The Games Lawn with the custom bocce ball court and chess board was installed with 3,400 square feet of SYNAugustine 547. The EnviroLoc+ backing of these installations optimizes drainage for easy clean-up. Each installation also includes Envirofill, which provides an antimicrobial advantage.
In addition to SYNAugustine 547 being made from sustainable properties, it will also help the resort save on water and gas since no watering or mowing is required to keep the outdoor lawns looking beautiful and pristine all year long.
The SYNLawn Colorado team was proud to help renovate the Gaylord Rockies during the multiphase and multi-year project.
