Newport, RI — Brenton Hotel is a luxurious waterfront boutique accommodation featuring views of historic Newport and its harbor. Inspired by the Gilded Age history of the city, the property offers guests upscale and exclusive amenities as part of the Brenton experience, including a luxe rooftop bar. The hotel owner hired the team from New England Turf Store (NETS) to transform its rooftop space into an ultimate rooftop destination for its pampered guests.
Designing a Chic Ultimate Rooftop Destination with Artificial Grass
NETS has notable experience designing chic and stylish outdoor spaces for a variety of clients that serve a sophisticated clientele, which is why they were chosen for this important project.
To create the posh green space for the rooftop retreat, the NETS team installed 4,000 square feet of premium artificial grass products. SYNLawn’s Roofdeck Platinum artificial grass was installed in two separate areas of the outdoor space. It’s the best choice for a rooftop bar due to its beautiful aesthetics and safety features. Roofdeck Platinum is the first-Class A Fire-Rated artificial turf that doesn’t require infill. Instead, it combines nylon fibers with SYNLawn’s exclusive EnviroLoc+™ backing and HeatBlock™ technologies for impressive durability and low surface temperatures.
To provide guests with a fun experience while mingling on the rooftop, the NETS installed six mini golf holes using SYNLawn Golf’s Precision Putt synthetic turf for putting greens. It offers the most realistic putting experience and is highly regarded for its superior performance and ball control. This synthetic golf surfacing product is also made with bent Nylon fibers for an enduring natural appearance and realistic ball-roll performance that will last for years in all climates, which is important since the rooftop is near the ocean and will need to withstand all types of weather elements.
To enhance the design features, NETS also installed two green walls using panels from Calico Greens™, an upscale line of artificial plant displays. These customizable feature unique designs that mimic real plants, and they’re perfect for this type of project since they’re durable, UV-protected, fire-rated, and suitable for outdoor use.
