Upgrading Outdoor Living Spaces with Synthetic Turf Amenities
The Marlowe offers residents everything they need to live, work and play. While planning the property’s construction with the Lamar Johnson Collaborative’s architects, they were looking to hire an experienced landscaping design and installation team to create the finest outdoor living spaces for their community. SYNLawn Kansas City is well known for its innovative residential and commercial projects and highly skilled team, which is why they were chosen to design and build a dog park for four-legged occupants, a 10-hole putting green, and a common lawn space for residents to enjoy with their neighbors, family, and friends. The team from SYNLawn Kansas City worked closely with Keeley Construction and Irwin Products to bring the project to life over a two-year design and construction period.
SYNLawn Kansas City has vast experience designing and installing professional quality synthetic golf greens. To construct the 10-hole golf green on the third-story roof deck of the complex, they used approximately 1,600 square feet of SYNLawn Golf Classic Pitch. This premium golf surfacing is perfect for residents looking to practice their pitch and chip shots due to its superior ball roll performance and lasting endurance. The putting green features large turf mounds, and it weaves back and forth between 33 cubic yards of geofoam. The team also used 10 SYNLawn cup sets for the golf installation and incorporated planters into the mounds.
To create the dog park on the property’s main level, SYNLawn Kansas City installed 1,760 square feet of Pet Platinum. This faux grass is the best choice for a pet-friendly residential complex since it’s designed to withstand daily use from pups and critters of all sizes. It offers ultra-durable construction and built-in maximum drainage, so cleanup is always easy.
SYNLawn Kansas City also installed approximately 4,800 square feet of highly durable SYNTipede 243 for the common lawn space and areas between the pavers. It’s one of the safest and cleanest turf options available due to the exclusive Super Yarn™ technology it’s made with, which incorporates Sanitized® Antimicrobial with StatBlock™ Anti-Static and DualChill™ Thermal Shield Technologies.
Additional products used for these installations included Envirofill 12-20 infill, landscaping pad, and 1,100 linear feet of nailer board attachment.
