Former Football Player Builds Outdoor Living and Sports Training Complex at Luxury Dream Home

Sandy Springs, GA — A former NFL player sought the expert landscaping design and installation skills of SYNLawn Georgia to build a state-of-the-art sports training complex and upscale outdoor living spaces for socializing and entertaining on the property of his luxurious new dream home.

Creating the Ultimate Backyard Destination with First-Rate Amenities

The SYNLawn Georgia team has a stellar reputation and extensive experience designing and building luxury dream homes, which is why they were hired to help the homeowner bring his vision to life. SYNLawn Georgia was tasked with constructing a wide range of first-rate amenities for the sports complex such as an inclined agility training hill, a full-size batting cage with a pitching machine, an elevated pitcher’s mound, a basketball court, a professional quality putting green, and an NFL spec field. The team also installed a firepit and edgeless in-ground pool to be used for the outdoor living spaces.

The team used approximately 5,500 square feet of SYNSport to cover the steeply inclined agility hill. This premium synthetic surfacing product is engineered to offer unmatched resiliency and support, and it’s also one of the safest turf options due to its ASTM E108 Class A Fire Rating. The basketball court was built at the bottom of the hill with 2,025 square feet of custom SYNCourt™ featuring two in-ground hoops. The bottom of the hill is also where the batting cage, pitcher’s mound, and the 10,000 square foot NFL spec field featuring AstroTurf were installed.

SYNLawn Georgia installed the putting green on the top level of the backyard property with 660 square feet of Classic Pitch, which is highly rated for its ball roll performance and lasting endurance. It’s an ideal golf product for practicing pitch and chip shots. The top level of the backyard is also where the luxe firepit seating area and in-ground pool are located.

An additional 4,400 square feet of SYNAugustine X47 was used for the spaces used for socializing, relaxing, and entertaining. This faux grass has the appearance of natural grass and offers unmatched safety, softness, and durability. This turf is also a more environmentally friendly option due to its USDA Certified Biobased label. It’s also manufactured with SYNLawn’s exclusive EnviroLoc™ backing system that replaces the petroleum-based polyol with renewable soybeans, as well as Super Yarn™ technology, which offers heat reflective, anti-static, Sanitized® and non-abrasive grass blades.

This was one of the most complex residential projects that SYNLawn Georgia has worked on.
