From renewable plant-based material to post-consumer recycled (PCR) content into our product lines, we’re setting a new standard for eco-conscious synthetic turf solutions.

Embracing More Sustainable Solutions

Our mission to reduce our environmental impact starts with smart materials and scalable solutions. We manufacture  with plant-based, renewable materials, like soy and sugar cane, which allows us to significantly reduce petroleum-based components across our portfolio. Our exclusive EnviroLoc+™ Backing System , our signature feature, is crafted with soybean oil. This durable, multi-layer backing locks in turf fibers and extends product lifespan while minimizing environmental impact.

In 2020, SYNLawn became the first synthetic turf company to receive a USDA BioPreferred® Certified Installation System and we continue to add certified biobased product labels across our range. We even increased our use of soy-based ingredients by 10% in 2021, all while meeting the highest industry standards, like EN 15330-1 and DIN 18035-7.

Incorporating Post-Consumer Recycled Content

We’re expanding the use of PCR materials in our turf to lower our carbon footprint by reducing not only landfill waste, but our reliance on petroleum-based materials as well. When we  infuse recycled content into our turf systems, we make every square foot a more sustainable choice, which is essential for achieving a circular economy.

• SYNNatural 60 GTR: Made with 70% renewable content such as sugar cane and PCR in the yarn and our plant-based EnviroLoc+™ Backing System. This eco-conscious turf is engineered with multi-directional fiber technology that replicates the look and feel of natural grass with less sheen, long-lasting color, and enhanced durability.

• SYNAccess: Designed to meet ADA, DOJ, and Access Board standards, this eco-friendly turf combines low pile, nondirectional fibers with SmartWeave™ Technology for superior accessibility and usability. Its advanced backing offers industry-leading drainage, keeping surfaces dry and safe in all weather conditions.

• SYNCanine: This artificial pet turf is designed for durability, comfort, and superior drainage thanks to our SmartWeave™ Technology. It ensures fast and efficient liquid drainage to keep surfaces dry and odor-free. Perfect  for backyards, pet facilities, dog parks, and other pet-friendly spaces.

• SYNAugustine 547 R: One of our Certified Bio-based products featuring EnviroLoc+™ Backing System and Super Yarn™ Technology. It offers comfort, durability, and natural beauty with a low carbon footprint.

• SYNAugustine 847 R: Our thickest, most dense style available; it perfectly blends softness and strength, with a natural look.  This high-tech turf also comes with EnviroLoc+™ Backing System and Super Yarn™ Technology.

• SYNNatural 50 GTR: Engineered specifically for high-traffic, commercial applications. It proved its resilience in Berlin as part of the popular, enduring the rigorous test of thousands of passionate soccer fans during Euro 2024. In addition to its exceptional durability, its subtle sun-touched fibers make it visually indistinguishable from natural grass. It features our EnviroLoc+™ Backing, Super Yarn™, SuperDrain+™, and Multi-Directional Technologies.

• SYNNatural 42 GTR: Featured in the Berlin Fan Mile installation in 2024, it successfully withstood the stress test of thousands of football fans. It’s lush and visually appealing,  extremely soft and comfortable. Made with  EnviroLoc+™ Backing, Super Yarn™, and Multi-Directional Technologies.
