Developing a Courtyard Entertainment Area for Employees & Clients
Burns & McDonnell added three large buildings to the vast campus of their Kansas City headquarters. They wanted to utilize the courtyard area in the center of these buildings by developing an entertainment area to be used by employees, as well as visiting clients.
The project was designed around the highest-quality artificial grass on the market and installed by the experts at SYNLawn Kansas City, which is led by owner, Angelo Grego. Burns & McDonnell needed an artificial turf that could withstand the heat generated by the reflective glass of the new buildings, so SYNLawn Kansas installed 27,990 square feet of SYNRye 244[1], which is known for its extreme reliability and performance over the years.
To make this an area for entertaining, SYNLawn Kansas City also installed a 5-hole golf putting green and a bocce ball court. The team used 3,150 square feet of Classic Pitch putting green turf and 2,400 square feet of SYNBermuda synthetic grass for landscaping, as well as 30 super sacks of USGreenTech’s Safeshell organic infill.
