SYNLawn Revamps Outdoor Space at Pet Camp in San Francisco
San Francisco, CA — SYNLawn Bay Area, which serves the areas of San Francisco, Oakland, and Northwestern California, recently revamped an outdoor space at Pet Camp, one of San Francisco’s most trusted pet daycare and long-term pet boarding facilities. SYNLawn Bay Area was tasked in April 2020 with transforming an existing outdoor area into a fully functional and sanitary space for dogs to play, as well as to be used as a training area. Pet Camp selected SYNLawn Bay Area for this special project due to their excellent reputation in the synthetic turf industry.
Transforming Space Into Functional and Beautiful Environment
Their outdoor training and play space is a highly visible area of their business, so they needed SYNLawn Bay Area to help transform it into a functional and beautiful environment. Pet Camp was eager to create a sanitary and more aesthetically pleasing outdoor area for their staff and clients. Their original outdoor play area consisted solely of concrete covered by a 4-inch layer of decomposed granite. The granite had become completely saturated with pet waste and was in great need of an upgrade. Since Pet Camp’s previous partner wasn’t sufficiently satisfying their requirements, SYNLawn Bay Area stepped in to make their dream play area a reality, and create an environment that their pet clients and staff could enjoy together for years to come.
Improving Outdoor Drainage System with SYNLawn Pet System
Brandon Kittredge, the owner of SYNLawn Bay Area, met with Pet Camp on-site to review their existing space to identify what upgrades needed to be made, which included a new drainage system since the current system was insufficient in filtering out pet waste effectively. The SYNLawn Bay Area team stepped up to the challenge and successfully installed a more complex drainage system to channel the pet waste efficiently. The team was able to dig a trench in the concrete, effectively creating a cleaner play area and training space. SYNLawn’s Pet System offers high-performance drainage and SYNLawn’s artificial grass with Super Yarn™ technology is made with Sanitized® Antimicrobial, so it’s more hygienic.
The next step was creating a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment through the utilization of synthetic turf. The team chose SYNTipede 343 for the approximately 2,660 square foot installation due to superior durability in high foot traffic areas, which made it ideal for the play area for all of the pet clients that would be enjoying it day after day. The dogs have already been enjoying the softness and durability of the turf as opposed to the previous decomposed granite. Plus, the training and play space is a highly visible area of the Pet Camp business, and SYNLawn Bay Area helped them transform it into a functional and beautiful outdoor environment.
